About the Author


Photography is my hobby. I am a hard-core hobbyist whose pastime edges into obsession. I balance two careers, one that brings money and another that sustains my soul. I have been a control systems and automations engineer for over twenty years. This profession brings bread and butter to the table. Photography is what I pursue in every spare second I can find. Serious leisure compensates for what work doesn't give; it provides the opportunity to lose yourself and to grow as an individual. It's kind of a Zen thing, if you will. I used to come home after work and think: Isn't there more to life? Don't get me wrong. I love my job as an engineer. But weekdays seemed neatly parceled into eight hours at work and evenings off. Days slid by with the monotony of a factory conveyor belt. Thank goodness, I've found the cure to this monotony. I've found photography! In addition, the Internet has given me a whole new media to share my passion of photography with other enthusiasts like you.
